For Farmers

Without fixing your soil’s pH, even premium fertilizer goes to waste. Our agricultural lime corrects your soil pH so the nutrients become available to your crops. If your yields are dropping despite using fertilizer, the problem is not the fertilizer — it is your soil’s pH. Our lime powder fixes that first, so that every bag of fertilizer you use actually works.

For Investors

A significant share of Tanzania’s soil suffers from low pH — a national productivity bottleneck few companies are addressing at scale. We, Lavan Investment, are positioned at that gap.

Who We Are

About Us

We are Lavan Investment Limited — producing high-grade lime powder right here in Tanga.

Lavan Investment Limited is an agricultural lime producer based in Kange Mkurumuzi, Tanga. We manufacture Calcitic lime, Dolomitic lime and Agri-Gypsum; products built specifically for amending soil pH and improving soil structure.

Lavan Investment also produces a blend of Agri-Gypsum and Dolomitic Lime — a combined formulation that delivers all secondary nutrients; calcium, magnesium and sulfur together, addressing multiple soil deficiencies in a single application.

Our team of dedicated professionals brings expertise in production, operations, compliance, and client service — ensuring the consistent delivery of high grade lime powder while upholding standards of safety, efficiency, and integrity.

Company Overview

From our Kange plant to farms across East Africa

Heavy equipment quarrying limestone for agricultural lime

Lavan Investment Limited mines and processes Calcitic Lime, Dolomitic Lime and Agri-Gypsum from our own plant in Kange, Tanga. We control every stage from extraction, processing and delivery through our own truck fleet, reaching farmers and distributors without relying on third-party transporters. We serve two markets by design: farmers who need dependable, affordable soil correction to lift yield season after season, and investors evaluating Tanzania’s agri-minerals sector, where demand for processed soil amendments is still outpacing local supply.

Integrated Operations

We mine and process Calcitic Lime, Dolomitic Lime and Agri-Gypsum at our own plant in Kange, Tanga — controlling extraction through milling.

Own Fleet Delivery

We deliver through our own truck fleet, reaching farmers and distributors without relying on third-party transporters.

Dual-Market Focus

Serving farmers who need affordable soil correction, and investors evaluating Tanzania’s growing agri-minerals sector.

Regulatory Compliance

Fully registered with BRELA and our products are registered and verified by Tanzania Fertilizer Regulatory Authority (TFRA) — meeting every standard before they reach a farm.

Our Mission

To enhance soil productivity through quality lime and agri-gypsum powder, utilizing modern technology and industrial best practices at every stage of production.

Future

Our Vision

To become East Africa’s most trusted lime exporter, expanding from a strong local foundation to serve farmers and agri-businesses across the continent — building Tanzania’s next generation of agricultural lime production by transforming raw minerals into high grade calcitic lime, dolomitic lime and agri-gypsum that restore soil health and unlock its potential.

Core Values

The principles that guide every decision we make

Quality Excellence

Every batch of our product is processed to a high reactive fineness and neutralizing value (purity percentage).

Customer-Centered Service

We don’t just sell lime, we also help you apply it right. Contact us about your soil type, crop, and application before you buy from us.

Safety & Integrity

No inflated yield promises — just honest guidance based on your soil condition.

Sustainability

Healthy soil is a long-term asset. We help farmers rebuild acidic, depleted land so it keeps producing for the next generation, not just this season.

What We Offer

Calcitic lime, dolomitic lime, agri-gypsum and blends.

Products built specifically for amending soil pH and improving soil structure — so fertilizer can actually work.

Calcitic Lime

Acidic soil locks up nutrients your crops need, which eventually blocks fertilizer. Our Calcitic Lime raises soil pH, unlocking nutrients so that fertilizer performs better.

agricultural

Dolomitic Lime

Our Dolomitic Lime corrects both low pH and Magnesium deficiency in soil in one application.

agricultural

Agri-Gypsum

Compacted, salty and poor draining soil can be healthy in pH but still hard to farm. Our Agri-Gypsum improves soil structure and drainage without changing your soil pH — ideal when soil texture is the problem, not acidity.

agricultural

Blended Lime

Some fields suffer from soil acidity, magnesium deficiency and poor drainage together. This blend combines Dolomitic Lime and Agri-Gypsum to correct soil pH, replenish calcium and magnesium, and improve soil structure in one application.

Technology & Equipment

Our operations are powered by advanced equipment, including European-type trapezium mills, primary and secondary crushers, vibrating screens, and precision grading systems. This technology allows us to process limestone, dolomite and related minerals with exceptional efficiency and uniformity for agricultural soil amendment.
